WHAT THIS COURSE IS FOR
THis class is designed to teach people the methodologies and information necessary to lead the NRA's Refuse To Be a Victim Seminar. In these seminars you will teach participants how to improve their personal safety strategies, and what techniques and tactics can be used to help avoid becoming easy victims of crime. After completing an Instructor Development Workshop and receiving the Regional Counselor's endorsement, the required paperwork and fees are submitted to NRA and instructor credentials are issued.
WHAT THIS COURSE CONTAINS
This is not a firearms or traditional "self-defense" Instructor course. The Instructor Candidates build on their experience in the RTBAV Student Seminar by learning about technical aspects of the program, instructor expectations, certification guidelines, developing speaking techniques and presentation skills, how to market your seminars, and so on.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
You should bring a clear positive attitude to personal and community safety from crime and criminals, and a desire to help people use situational awareness and other proactive strategies to achieve this. You should also bring your materials from the RTBAV Student Seminar, a notepad and pen, and a light lunch. We will provide coffee and snacks.
WHAT YOU WILL TAKE AWAY
We provide all training materials, including course lesson plan, course slide deck, template promotional materials and one student packet. Most of all you'll take away the skills necessary to begin teaching this key aspect of modern life to your family, friends, and community.
Thank you for choosing ScotShot for your situational awareness training - see you in class!
